About the Chair
Mr. Bill Hazel was the founder of William A. Hazel Construction, a Northern Virginia site development and construction company engaged, since 1958, in the construction of residential and commercial building and public works and institutions, and a network of roads throughout the region. The endowed chair honors the late Mr. Hazel and his lifelong partner and wife, Eleanor Hazel, and their commitment to education and the future of the region.
