GMU-EfID Project

Partnering with the Potomac Appalachian Trail Club (PATC), George Mason University’s  Engineers for International Development Club (GMU EfID) is currently working on renovation of a pedestrian bridge located at Antietam Creek, in the Michaux State Forest in Pennsylvania. This renovation will involve the demolition of an existing telephone pole based design bridge and its replacement with an engineered beam design developed by students of the Sid and Reva Dewberry Department of Civil, Environmental and Infrastructure Engineering under the guidance of their faculty mentor. The Engineers for International Development group hopes to replicate their new design at multiple sites in the future.EfID_PATC
