ORAU Appoints Deborah Goodings to Board of Directors

Deborah GoodingsThe Oak Ridge Associated Universities (ORAU) consortium of major PhD-granting US academic institutions has appointed Dr. Deborah Goodings to a three-year term 2014 to 2017 on its board of directors.  ORAU’s membership includes 114 U.S. universities and the U.S. Department of Energy Oak Ridge National Laboratory in Tennessee.  The purpose of the consortium is to cultivate collaborative partnerships that advance research and education in engineering and science nationally, focused principally in three main areas:  science education and workforce development; national security and emergency preparedness; and environmental assessments, worker and public health.   ORAU is a source for funding initiatives at member institutions, and members work with federal, state, local and commercial customers to advance national priorities and serve the public interest.
