David Hieber, a senior bridge engineer and Associate at Dewberry’s Fairfax, VA office, has over 15 years experience analyzing, designing, and managing transportation structures. He is familiar with both design-bid-build and design-build delivery methods, and most recently led a team of 18 bridge engineers during proposal development of a $600M design-build project, which included 42 bridges. Mr Hieber is first Vice President of the American Society of Highway Engineers (ASHE) – Potomac Section, and serves on the American Concrete Institute’s Committees 341, Earthquake-Resistant Concrete Bridges, and 343, Concrete Bridge Design. He brings his considerable engineering design experience to CEIE students, teaching the senior design capstone course.
