We have programs in place to support student and faculty entrepreneurs from idea to launch and beyond.
Attention enterprising engineers: Don’t miss the Entrepreneurship Open House, sponsored by the Office of Entrepreneurship and Innovation.
Students, faculty, and staff are invited to attend the event on Wednesday, January 24 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the MIX @ Fenwick.
You’ll be able to meet representatives from Mason's entrepreneurship-related programs and organizations, learn about curricular options, and find out about other Mason resources available to help you start your own business.
“Eighteen Mason programs and offices will be participating in the open house,” says Sean Mallon, Mason’s associate vice president for entrepreneurship and innovation. “We have programs in place to support student and faculty entrepreneurs from idea to launch and beyond.”
Fifteen Mason Engineering students got their entrepreneurial start last summer when they participated in the eight-week Mason Summer Entrepreneurship Accelerator (MSEA) program. Each participant in the MSEA received a stipend, and each team was mentored by a successful entrepreneur. The program will be offered again in the summer of 2018. Application information will be available at the open house.
