Dear students, parents, and friends of the department,

Welcome to Mason Engineering’s Sid and Reva Dewberry Department of Civil, Environmental, and Infrastructure Engineering. Our programs stand at the crossroads of civil engineering, information technology, and urban planning.

We offer degrees at all levels: bachelor of science; master of science; and PhD in civil and infrastructure engineering. Students can complete their MS in one year or consider a bachelor’s/accelerated master’s program.

There are many advantages to earning your degree with us. Our faculty members are world-renowned for their work in building sustainable and long-lasting infrastructure, monitoring structural conditions, and anticipating and reducing the impact of natural hazards.

Because we are in the Washington, D.C. area, our students have excellent opportunities for internships and summer jobs, as well as employment after graduation with local companies, private firms, and local, state, and federal government agencies.

Come to campus, meet our faculty, and learn more about our programs and our research.

Sincerely,

Elise Miller-Hooks

Whether rebuilding roads and bridges, planning cities for the future, harnessing the sun's energy to power handheld devices, or studying the impact of floods on coastal cities, our students and scholars seek solutions to environmental problems that matter.
